From the first loop until the barrage of hand-forged ripples, Cascades forms are close to my organic heart. This show helped me visualize a starting path for my artistic expression, beyond wearable art.
Since I have stepped back from the amount of physical work involved in creating these pieces, I see now the importance of creating one’s own palette. a lot of these works could not have been made without pre-forming some of the elements, and then having a partitioned tray to sort/select as I worked. It’s good to create parameters in one’s work.
